Sehr hypnotisch und reduziert, gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber wenn man einmal drin ist, ist es schwer sich dieser Musik zu entziehen.

9. Flying Lotus – Cosmogramma

Vielschichtig und toll. Ich liebe Musik, bei der ich auch beim zehnten Mal Hören immer noch neue Aspekte entdecken kann.

8. Fout Tet – There Is Love In You

Fout Tet gehört einfach auf die Liste, egal was Keiran Hebden an Output vorlegt.

7. Broken Social Scene – Forgiveness Rock Record

Broken Social Scene lassen mich wieder an Rock glauben. Also, nicht Rock-Rock, sondern Rock. Ach, die machen gar keinen Rock? Naja dann…

6. LCD Soundsystem – This Is Happening

LCD Soundsystem machen offensichtlich nie etwas falsch. Noch nicht einmal, wenn es um Videos geht. Vor ein paar Einträgen habe ich ja auf das Video zu “Home” hingewiesen.

5. ANBB – Mimikry

Carsten Nikolais minimalistische Landschaften kombiniert mit Blixa Bargelds Gesang. Da muss man erst mal drauf kommen. Wenn man aber soweit ist, erscheint es so logisch, dass man sich fragt, warum es nicht schon längst passiert ist. Außerdem haben wir hier das mit Abstand beste Cover des Jahres.

4. Oval – O

Markus Popp ist einer der wenigen Menschen, die theoretisieren können und trotzdem exzellente Musik veröffentlichen.

3. Sam Prekop – Old Punch Card

Das wundervolle Video zu “The Silhouttes” sollte man sich unbedingt mal anschauen.

Dieser Podcast musste mit auf die Liste, weil er mich noch nie enttäuscht hat. Bislang elf Folgen alt. Hoffentlich nicht so schnell wieder verschwunden.

Macht mich glücklich jedesmal wenn ich sie höre. Diese Platte hat keinen einzigen Ausfall.

Munich label offering a lush selection of mixes. I recommend the Bad Mushroom Mix by Munk (yes, it’s a trip and it’s krauty) and the Ellettronica Meccanica mixes by the legendary cosmic DJ Loda.

Chris de Luca’s Glitch Mix (mp3)
One hour hip-hop verschwurbelung (there is no English word for that) by Chris de Luca of Funkstörung and now Chris de Luca fame. Nice when you recognize the respective originals.

Dev/Null – Old School Jungle mix (web page)
Cock Rock Disco’s Dev/Null with an in-your-face mix of rare jungle tunes from 92-94. When I say in-your-face, I mean IN-YOUR-FACE.

Sorry, I just got carried away a bit.

It combines the music of Sigur Rós with a lot of impressive images of their homeland Iceland and from concerts they gave after travelling around the world.
